AGE signs the Brighton + Helsinki Declaration for gender Equality in Sports

The Agency for Gender Equality/ OPM of Republic of Kosovo in cooperation with Olympic Committee of Kosovo and international partners took part in official ceremony of Brighton+Helsinki Declaration for Women and Sports.
At the Opening ceremony occasional speech were held by:
Ismet Krasniqi, President of Olympic Committee of Kosovo
Anamarie Phelps. Head of Secretary at Ministry of United Kingdom and Co-head of Global Executive of IWG Women and Sports,
Tarja Krum, President of Committee for Equality and Sports of ENGSO as well as repreentives of Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports,
After the speech it was held the ceremony of signature where the Agency for Gender Equality became a part of Institutions which officially have promised together to execute 10 basic principles of Brighton+Helsinki Declaration to ensure equal possibility for girls and women in sports from participation till leading career.
In the name of AGE- Shpresa Zariqi, Head of Cooperation and Information Department signed the Declaration.
The Declaration Brighton+Helsinki is initiated by international Group for Women and Sports (IWG) and aims to create a sustainable sports culture which evaluates and empowers the contribution of women in all aspects and sport and physical activity.
This signature aims the engagement of Republic of Kosovo to empower gender equality in sports to support Sports people, Trainers and Women Leaders as well as to create clear policies that promote equal participation and right representation in all sports levels.
