AGE welcomed a delegation from Council of Republic of Iraq
Today, Agency for Gender Equality welcomed in a meeting a delegation from Council of Republic of Iraq- Parliament of Iraq, who will stay for a visit in Kosovo from 11-15 December. The representatives of Iraq had a meeting the Chief of Executive of AGE, Edi Gusia, Chief of Cooperation Department Shpresa Zariqi and Acting Chief of Reporting and Monitoring Department Adelina Kajtazi. They were informed with mandate of AGE as well as experiences and Kosovo Model to recognize and verify the statues of Survivors of sexual abuse during last war in Kosovo. Also, during presentation it was talked about the work of Commission to serve to this category.

The aim of drafters is to know the compensation right of hundrets of those who survived the conflict and other mninorities. The visit is organized as a part of IOM attempts to support the institutions of Iraq in process of designing and implementation of Compensation Program for survivors of sexual abuse commited by terrorist gruop ISIL during the conflict in Iraq. Iraqi Parliament is currently analyzing the possibility to draft Law to support Yazidi Women.
