The Representatives from Republic of Kosovo are participating in the Forum for Gender Equality in the scope of Berlin Process 2025 which is organized on 10 September 2025 in Sarajevo.
The forum organized by the Government of United Kingdom, the Government of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Federal Government of Germany this year was bearing the subject “ Towards Equal Societies- the Gender Equality as a motive in regional process by aming to stress the transforming role of gender eqaulitz in adavancing the peace, welfar abd inclusion in Western Balkans.
Within the scope of Forum, the participants are contributing with experience and different perspectives over the challenges and possibilities of gender equality in the country and the region.
From Kosovo, presented the Colonel Afërdita Mikullovci from the Association of Policewomen, who shared the experience in preventing and training the violence online towards women and Eliza Hoxha, Parliamentarian at the Assembly of Republic of Kosovo, who spoke for the role of women in the plan of urbanization and cultural development.
-Part of delegation were Mimoza Kusari-Lila, Parliamentarian at Assembly of RKS, Marqe Selmanaj from the local level, Edi Gusia and Shpresa Zariqi-Llbajani from AGE, Adem Oruqi from MFA, Vlora Nushi form UN Women, Lule Demolli from KCGS (Kosovo Center for Gender Studies, Rrezarta Delibashzade Krasniqi D4D.
This Forum serves as an important regional platform to exchange experiences and strengthen the cooperation between countries in the Western Balkans.
The participation of Kosovo in this process underlines the institutional and social engagement to promote gender equality as essential value and a precondition for right and sustainable societies.
The event was supported by GIZ Kosovo and British Embassy Prishtina.
