AGE welcomes the representatives of UN and UN Women in Kosovo
The Director of the Agency for Gender Equality (AGE)- Edi Gusia welcomed in the Meeting the new Coordinator for Development in UN Mr. Stephen O Malley, who has started the his duty in Prishtina and Viora Bushi- Director of UN Women Office in Kosovo.
The aim of the Meeting was the discussion about the mutual cooperation by focusing on identification of new possibilities for cooperation and presenting the Agenda of gender Equality in Kosovo.
The Parties shared experiences and their practices I the field of development of policies of gender equality, by stressing the importance of institutional coordination and partnership for empowering the women and girls in society. The UN Representatives and UN Women expressed their readiness to support the Agency in realization of its objectives, while the AGE evaluated their role in advancing the agenda of gender equalize in Kosovo.
The Meeting ended with common promise to deepen the partnership and to build new initiatives that contribute on sustainable development and inclusion in the country.
