The Representatives of Agency for Gender Equality had a work visit in Sweden
The Representatives of Agency for Gender equality (AGE) have ended successfully three days working visit (18-21 November) in Gothenburg, Sweden. The visit was organized by the Swedish Gender Equality Agency (SGEA).
The Program was opened with Welcoming Remarks and official greetings by Annika Karlsson, Head of the Department for Support and Coordination of GGEA and Leonora Selmani-Representative of Agency for Gender Equality of Kosovo.
During the Visit the Representatives of AGE participated in the discussion and workshop run by Swedish Experts-Peter Vikström- Head of Department for Analyses and Monitoring of Policies- where he presented research cooperation, while Ida-Maria Linder and Bosse Pabrring shared their experience in SGEA about gender integration in Universities and Government Agencies.
A special moment of the visit was the Meeting with Mrs. Blerta Hoti- Deputy Head of the City of Gothenburg –an Albanian with special career there . She shared the experiences in the field of pre-school education, culture and other issues of children by offering inspiring prespective for polices and gender equality.
Within the scope of the visit, presentation were done by Sofia Strid and Anne-Laure Humbert, who shared research projects as UNISAFE and Paths to Equality which aim to improve gender equality in different sectors.
This visited is expected to give a valuable contribution in empowering the capacities of Agency for Gender Equality of Kosovo including innovative approach and new strategies in execution of gender policies in the country. The cooperation with Swedish Gender Equality Agency is an important step towards advancement of gender equality in institutional and social level.
